Lord's hospitality

Lord's named after its founder, Thomas Lord, is owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and is widely referred to as the ‘Home of Cricket’. MCC was founded in 1787 and is the world's most famous cricket club.

Lord's plays host to: Investec Test matches; NatWest One Day Internationals; Middlesex's Twenty20, County Championship and 50-over matches; as well as the showpiece finals for the Royal London One Day Cup and Davidstow National Village Cup.

Looking to the future, MCC is investing heavily in Lord's to ensure that the ground remains world-class, as well as world-famous. The Warner Stand was demolished at the end of the 2015 season, and a new state-of-the-art stand opened by the beginning of the 2017 season.

Lord's hosted the Archery Competition at the 2012 London Olympic Games, and MCC celebrated 200 years at the current Lord's Ground in 2014.
