East Stand upgrade to create additional 11,600sq.m space for match day hospitality.

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has announced that planning permission has been granted for the redevelopment of the East Stand. The extension will enable hospitality to be accommodated within the stadium while not increasing the overall capacity.

The new East Stand extension will create additional space of 11,600 sq.m over six levels, as part of the upgrade. Each level will be distinctive in its design, celebrating and bringing to life the unique aspects of the home of England Rugby, while also delivering a bespoke hospitality experience for guests. The space will cater for a range of different audiences with new bar and dining areas to private fine dining facilities. The development will transform fan’s match day by creating a more consistent and premium offering, in the grounds of the stadium.

As part of the redevelopment, facilities will be created exclusively for existing England Rugby debenture holders. For the first time debenture holders will have the option to customise and benefit from enhanced debenture packages, which will include access to formal and casual dining options, exclusive access to private lounge and bar areas and also car parking. The new England Rugby debenture holder offering is part of the RFU’s commitment to improve and modernise the match day experience.
