This British weather really does make it feel as though summer is over, however it wasn’t long ago, in fact only a couple of months ago, that we were basking in glorious sunshine and watching the greatest flat race in the world at the Investec Derby Festival.
This year saw 40-1 outsider Wings of Eagles win the 2017 Investec Derby, the longest-odds Derby winner since 50-1 shot Snow Knight won in 1975.

This surprising and exciting result for the 2017 Investec Derby created the perfect end to our guest’s hospitality experience. This thrilling finish was witnessed by our guests from the best seats in the house, with facilities right next to the finish post they were definitely #closertotheaction. Don’t believe us? Here’s just a few shots to see for yourself…
Tattenham Straight
Guests were able to watch all of the action on the celebrated Tattenham Straight – a pivotal point as the horses approach the final furlong of the race, while enjoying a seated three-course summer lunch in a stunning glass-fronted structure with a private viewing terrace.

Winning Post
Located on the inside track and next to the finishing line, the Winning Post gave our guests a day to remember. With a private outdoor space, cocktail bar and a stylish toe-dipping pool, it couldn’t get much better. And to round-up an exciting day of action, Winning Posts guests were entertained by internationally renowned DJ, Judge Jules who took to the decks for the evening.

Chez Roux @ Blue Riband
With a prestigious location in the Queen’s Stand, this exquisite restaurant ensured guests had a luxurious hospitality experience. And with a menu designed and delivered by world class chef Albert Roux OBE it sure didn’t disappoint.

Downs View Suite
Guests were given spectacular views of the racecourse, parade ring and the winner’s enclosure while enjoying a four-course seated lunch, traditional afternoon tea and much more. We’ll let the photos do the talking…
